The companion publication for the Royal Pavilion's ongoing exhibition A Prince’s Treasure - now extended to Jan 2022.
Written by Keeper of The Royal Pavilion, David Beevers, this fascinating and succinct guide highlights the key objects in each room explaining how they came to reside in Buckingham Palace.
The exhibition gives the public the opportunity to see the extraordinary, exotic, ornaments and furnishing, removed from the Pavilion in 1850 by Queen Victoria. These objects, generously loaned by the Royal Collections Trust from Buckingham Palace, were originally commissioned by George IV as part of his romantic Chinoiserie vision for the Royal Pavilion interior.
